Pedradas do MRPP custaram 8 a 10 mil dólares à Mobil em 1973


Em 1973, o PCTP/MRPP já era citado nos telegramas da embaixada norte-americana em Lisboa. O autor do telegrama 04643, de 19 de Dezembro de 1973, é Richard Post, “número dois” da embaixada. Activistas do MRPP atacaram, à pedrada, o principal escritório da empresa Móbil, em Lisboa. “Os danos estimados pela empresa são de oito a 10 mil dólares.” As sedes de outras empresas americanas – Readers Digest e Ford – “também foram apedrejadas, provavelmente pelo mesmo grupo”.
Richard Post apresenta o MRPP como “uma pequena facção maoista de extrema-esquerda que no passado tem distribuído panfletos, mas sem causar danos”.
